153rd Open Ticket Resale Platform Launched: Secure Fan-to-Fan Sales Begin

The Ticket Resale Platform for the 153rd Open is now live, offering a secure venue for fans to both purchase and list tickets at face value. The initiative, aimed at facilitating fan-to-fan transactions, provides a welcome alternative for those who secured extra tickets or missed out during the Ticket Ballot.

Under the new system, ticket holders can list any unwanted tickets for resale directly through their One Club account. While the platform ensures a safe space for these exchanges, officials stress that the fan-to-fan nature of transactions means that the availability or sale of tickets cannot be guaranteed. Those who successfully resell their tickets will receive notification via email.

Furthermore, fans who were unsuccessful in the initial Ticket Ballot will be granted first access to purchase tickets through the Resale Platform. One Club members, meanwhile, are scheduled to gain access from 7 February.

Organisers have also issued a reminder regarding tickets advertised on third-party platforms, which may be cancelled without refund. In addition, tickets purchased via the Resale Platform are non-refundable and cannot be relisted for resale.

To access the platform, users simply need to sign in to their One Club account, click on the ‘Sell Tickets’ button, and list any unwanted tickets if desired. This initiative is expected to streamline the ticket exchange process and enhance the overall experience for Open enthusiasts.
