Alderman Sharon McKillop Welcomes Planning Approval for Bobby Greer Sports Complex Floodlighting

Alderman Sharon McKillop has expressed her delight at the long-awaited planning approval for floodlighting at the Bobby Greer Sports Complex Multi-Use Games Area in Bushmills.

The installation of the floodlights has been over three years in the making, following McKillop's efforts to lobby for the necessary infrastructure. The lighting will be positioned along the eastern and western boundaries of the existing pitch, ensuring that local residents, sports teams, and community groups can make better use of the facility, even during the darker evenings.

McKillop highlighted the positive impact this will have on the community, noting that the extended access will promote improved fitness, health, and wellbeing outcomes for users.
