The Head of Sport and Wellbeing presented a proposal requesting £100,000 to appoint technical experts who would assist in developing a business case for the ambitious project.
The proposed improvements include the construction of a new clubhouse, a modern grounds maintenance facility, and significant upgrades to the course. To facilitate the development, the budget is planned to be allocated over two years, with £50,000 in 2024/25 and a further £50,000 for 2025/26, pending budget approval.

The proposal, supported by Alderman Callan and Councillor McCully, saw the committee agree to advance the project’s high-level vision and objectives. Further updates are expected as the business case is developed, with additional discussions on related projects such as Benone also anticipated.
