As the festival weekend approaches, there are high hopes for the weather forecast. Barra Best is predicting balmy temperatures for the Bushmills Salmon and Whiskey Festival, and the team are optimistically planning towards a fantastic weekend of great food, drink and live music in the historic village of Bushmills.

Kane Family Butchers has just announced that they plan to reintroduce their popular street BBQ on Sunday 8th, October 2023. They will be cooking a range of tasty dishes in addition to their delicious Bushmills whiskey and honey sausages, available to purchase all weekend. It is worth taking a closer look at each Taste Trail entry and planning your eating and drinking experience.

Be sure to pop into our local butchers, bakers, cheesemongers, iconic veg shop, cafes, bars, restaurants, and the incredible range of traders from the Naturally North Cast and Glens Artisan Market.

Laverys' The Meat Centre' are planning a homemade Bushmills Whiskey and Steak pie and is stocking up with fresh salmon fillets over the weekend. Delicious with salad and rustic bread or creamy mash and seasonal root vegetables. Call into Maegden and Glasses, and you will have all the necessary elements for a festival showpiece in the comfort of your home whilst supporting local businesses or grab some delicious produce for a Riverside picnic.

A trip along the Bushmills Taste Trail will set you up for a night of music and/or rugby in one of our local bars! There is music in the Bush House and the Bushmills Inn Gas Bar from Friday evening. Saturday, there is music in various venues detailed in the full programme, including Finn MacCools and local legend Karl Smith, who takes to the mic on Sunday afternoon in the Bush House from 3 pm, bringing the festival to a close.
