BT to Remove 18 Public Payphones in Causeway Coast & Glens
Aug 13, 2024In a move that marks the end of an era, BT has announced the removal of 18 public payphones across the Causeway Coast & Glens Borough. The decision comes after a 90-day public consultation period, which concluded on 21st May 2024, during which no representations were made by local residents regarding the criteria for removal.
BT took steps to ensure that the local community was well informed about the proposed removals by displaying public notices on each of the affected payphones. Despite this, the consultation did not attract any feedback, leading to the decision to proceed with the removals.
