Causeway Coast Set to Roar with Activity Over Bank Holiday Weekend
May 02, 2024This bank holiday weekend, three exciting events will take place around the Causeway Coast and Glens, drawing crowds on Saturday 4th May.
The much-anticipated NW200 Truck Run, the thrilling Bear Run 74, and a charitable motorcycle rideout by the Portadown and Craigavon Motorcycle Owners Group are all set to take place this Saturday.

NW200 Truck Run: A Must-Visit for Truck Enthusiasts
Starting the day's activities, the NW200 Truck Run is slated to be a standout event for truck lovers and families alike. The event is scheduled for May 4, 2024, at 11am at the University Of Ulster Campus in Coleraine.
Attendees can enjoy an open viewing of an impressive lineup of trucks until 2:30 pm. The real spectacle begins at 3 pm when these powerful vehicles will lap around the iconic NW200 circuit, beautifully prepped for race week. This event is a treat for the eyes and serves a noble cause, with all proceeds aiding the Causeway Community Rescue Service.
Bear Run 74: A Spectacular Supercar Parade
The Bear Run 74 will see around 70 supercars vroom through from Ebrington Square, tracing a path through various scenic locales, including Downhill, Coleraine Ring Road, and the Metropole area in Portrush, before cruising along the Antrim Coast. This high-octane journey will raise funds for Angel Wishes, a charity dedicated to "Helping Children Smile Again." Enthusiasts can catch the parade of luxury cars as they zoom past Metropole Portrush between 11:30am and noon.
Motorcycle Rideout: Cruising for a Cause
Adding to the day's charitable spirit, the Portadown and Craigavon Motorcycle Owners Group will embark on a fundraising rideout along the picturesque Causeway Coastal Route. The ride is dedicated to supporting the Multiple Sclerosis Society, marking another highlight of the day that combines a passion for motorcycles with philanthropy.
