The Causeway Coastal Route, which winds from Derry City along the North Coast towards Belfast, has been heralded as one of the UK's premier scenic drives in a recent consumer survey.
This celebrated route showcases the majestic Mussenden Temple, perched high above seven miles of Benone’s golden sands, before meandering along the rugged North Coast to the legendary Giant's Causeway. From there, it journeys through the picturesque Glens of Antrim, offering a feast of stunning landscapes.
Despite its breathtaking beauty, the Causeway Coastal Route was narrowly edged out of the top spot in the latest survey by Europcar Mobility Group UK. Scotland's North Coast 500 claimed first place, followed by the Kendal to Keswick route in England's Lake District. The Causeway Coastal Route also missed a top-three finish by the slimmest of margins to the 'Cat and Fiddle' route from Buxton to Macclesfield in the Peak District.
