Coleraine's Food Scene Grows: Pear Tree to Open New Eatery ‘The Orchard’ in 2025

The popular Pear Tree café in Coleraine is expanding its roots, announcing plans to open a second premises in the town. ‘The Orchard’, as it will be called, is set to open its doors on Church Street early next year.

This new venture will take over the current Heralds 22 café site and aims to bring a fresh dining experience to the area.

In a statement shared on social media, the owners expressed their enthusiasm for this next chapter, hinting that ‘The Orchard’ will differ from the original Pear Tree with a menu that offers hot meals, traditional favourites, and local specialities.

“Branching out,” as they playfully put it, is an exciting milestone in their journey, and they are eager to welcome both locals and visitors to what they promise will be Coleraine’s newest culinary offering.

Opening early in 2025, the announcement underscores a growing food scene in the town, with ‘The Orchard’ hoping to become a staple in Coleraine’s vibrant community.
