Councillors Commend The Vital Work Of Garvagh Museum

This evening Councillors at the Leisure and Development Committee meeting praised Garvagh Museum for its significant contributions to cultural preservation and community engagement.

The museum, operated by dedicated volunteers, has been supported by Council through a partnership agreement that runs until 2025.

Garvagh Museum’s achievements include hosting exhibitions, educational visits, and maintaining its UK Accredited Museum status. Councillors expressed their admiration for the museum’s impact and reaffirmed their support for its ongoing work.

Discussions highlighted the museum’s vital role in promoting local heritage while fostering community participation.

A proposal to renew the partnership agreement will be presented in January, ensuring the museum’s continued success.
