Developers Confirm Continued Commitment to Merrow Hotel and Spa Proposal

The developers behind the proposed Merrow Hotel and Spa have reiterated their dedication to the project, with a resubmitted planning application at an advanced stage. Vivienne Gilholm, Director of C&V Developments, told Alpha Media Group that despite encountering setbacks, the company is still committed to the project, believing that it will bring much to the Causeway area and will be enjoyed by locals and visitors from around the world.

Gilholm further stated that the planning application had made significant progress, with positive responses from all statutory consultees.

The council planning department is now expected to make its recommendation to the planning committee shortly.

Plans for the hotel, located next to the NW200 paddock, were first lodged in 2016. However, planning approval was quashed following a judicial review launched by TUV leader Jim Allister, who owned a holiday home next to the site.
