Eco Village Portrush

A Proposal of Application Notice for a new Eco Village in Portrush has been deemed acceptable, paving the way for the development of a sustainable holiday destination by White Rock Eco Parks.

The planned Eco Village will comprise self-contained holiday units, accompanied by car parking facilities, communal recreation spaces, a site office, maintenance shed and yard, and extensive landscaping. Additionally, the project includes the creation of a new access route, which will involve stopping up the existing access to Hampton Conservatories, alongside all other associated site works.

White Rock Eco Parks aims to create an environmentally friendly retreat that complements the natural beauty of Portrush, offering visitors a unique and sustainable holiday experience.

The proposed development is for lands to the south and south-west of 216 Ballybogey Road, Portrush and approximately 80m south-east of 218 Ballybogey Road, Portrush.

To engage the local community and gather valuable feedback, an in-person drop-in event is scheduled for Wednesday 26th February 2025. The event will take place at Two Twenty, 220 Ballybogey Road, Portrush, BT56 8NE, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to view display boards outlining the proposal and provide their input via printed comment cards.

Residents and interested parties are encouraged to attend the event to share their views and contribute to the development of Portrush’s new Eco Village.
