Former Eglinton Hotel Planning Application Readvertised

A planning application for the redevelopment of the former Eglinton Hotel in Portrush has been readvertised due to amendments to its description and plans.
The proposal, originally submitted in 2023 by W & R Group Ltd, seeks to demolish the existing hotel at 49 Eglinton Street and replace it with a four-storey apartment block comprising nine residential apartments. The development also includes a ground-floor café and in-curtilage parking.
The application had previously been lodged with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, but amendments have resulted in a fresh public advertisement. The Eglinton Hotel, a longstanding fixture in the town, has remained vacant in recent years.
