Former Rasharkin restaurant could become used car showroom

A proposal has been submitted to Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council to transform an old Rasharkin restaurant into a pre-owned car showroom.

Gerard McPeake Architectural submits the proposal for the location at 60 Bann Road on behalf of UCAR, a used car business.

The plan includes converting the previous bar and eatery, McLaughlin’s Corner, into a car display area and sales office.

The proposal also includes a new cleaning garage at the back of the property.

As part of the transformation, a wall and windows will be removed to facilitate a garage door entrance.

The building will feature a black fibre cement slates roof, black fibre cement cladding walls, and black window frames.

Additionally, there will be a provision for 37 parking spots for employees and visitors.
