From taking a leap into self-employment, to Best Young Person in Business Finalist

Stephanie Wilson of Fitness with Steph has been working hard this year and was recently awarded with a Finalist title of Best Young Person in Business at the Causeway Chamber Business awards.

In a category with 18 entrants, Steph was delighted to be amongst the 8 finalists in only her first year of business! 

Steph’s Journey started in November of 2022 when she left her job and started covering some Zumba classes in a local leisure centre. Unsure which direction to take, she used her new free time to start an online training qualification to be an Aerial Hoop instructor, something she is really passionate about learning and wanted to bring to the North Coast for others to have a chance to try!

Her Aerial Hoop teaching started with a bang with 13 customers in her first 4-week intake and this number has grown each month since as customers stay with her and new customers join!  

Steph says that Aerial Hoop is both physically and mentally challenging in all the best ways! Some things you learn may come to you easily, and some things will seem much harder! As long as you have a good mindset and the desire to learn, you will enjoy yourself and reap the rewards such as an increase of strength, confidence, flexibility, balance, and coordination, all while meeting new people on a similar journey!

Many of her regular customers love the hobby so much they attend classes more than once a week and many have even gone to buy their own equipment to continue training at home, its just that addictive!

Steph can also be hired as an Aerial Performer at your next party or event, or can bee booked for Aerial Hoop private training on a 1-1 basis or up to 10 people.

Other fitness offerings include her Zumba classes or Hula Hoop classes.

Steph can be hired for private workshops with Hula hoop or Aerial Hoop. And most recently she offers Balloon modelling, Glitter Tattoos or Face painting so if this is more something you are looking for then Steph is your person to contact!
