Fundraiser For Air Ambulance Northern Ireland In Memory Of Katya Watson

The community of Coleraine and surrounding areas has been greatly affected by the tragic loss of 22-year-old Katya Watson, who was involved in a devastating road traffic collision in Ballymena on 8th December 2023.

On 13th December 2023, despite the greatest efforts of emergency personnel, including the quick assistance of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, Katya passed away. Those who knew her have been deeply affected by her sudden death, which has sparked both grief and passionate remembrance.

Following this tragic event, Katya's close friend and coworker Alex Cook has started a fundraising effort in her memory.

Inspired by a deep sense of respect and remembering, this campaign has thus far raised £1,789 for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.

The vital organisation helped provide emergency medical care during Katya's tragedy. Katya's family wholeheartedly supports the campaign in recognition of the irreplaceable support given by the air ambulance service, which they recognise as crucial assistance.

A section on the fundraising page reads, "Although Katya is no longer with us, the memories she has given us will never be forgotten! A wonderful friend to everyone, someone who never failed to put a smile on everyone's face. You will be deeply missed, and heaven is so lucky to have you!"
