Green Revamp: Cushendun Enhances Village Hub

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council have approved plans to enhance the village green in Cushendun through various environmental improvements.

The forthcoming developments encompass plantings, the introduction of new paths and benches, the construction of a small paved area, and the establishment of a designated space for a Christmas tree.

Positioned at the corner of the village's main thoroughfare and connected by a path to the road, the village green serves as a pivotal locale.

The Design and Access Statement emphasises that the new pathways will forge a more accessible connection from the beach to the main street, while ensuring the preservation of Cushendun’s historic environment.

This initiative promises no demolitions or alterations to listed structures and commits to retaining existing trees.
