Housing Development Proposed For Former Ballycastle GAA Grounds

Plans have been submitted with Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council for a proposed housing development at the former GAA grounds situated on the Leyland Road, Ballycastle.
Proposals reveal 22 dwellings consisting of 4no. detached dwellings, 16no. semi detached
dwellings, 2no. semi detached bungalows and roadways (Phase 2).
The site is bounded on three sides by existing residential properties with mature vegetation along its boundaries.
It is envisaged that the proposed dwellings will be designed to reflect the form and scale of traditional properties in the area whilst picking up on key vernacular and construction features.The size of the proposal together with the proposed materials have been selected to reflect those of the surrounding dwellings.
The applicant is Liam O'Neill.
