Luxury Holiday Apartments Proposed For Galgorm Resort
Apr 11, 2024Luxury apartments may soon grace the landscape of the renowned Galgorm Resort, with plans submitted to Mid & East Antrim Council for the development of 32 luxury abodes on the resort's grounds. If approved, this project would not only add sophistication to the area, it would also revitalise the local and regional economies, underlining Galgorm Resort's role as a key participant in the hotel industry.
The proposed development, located at 136 Fenaghy Road in Ballymena, aims to supplement the existing range of lodgings and facilities that Galgorm Resort proudly provides. From its appealing Thermal Village and Spa to its championship golf parkland course, Galgorm Resort has long been associated with luxury and leisure, attracting tourists from all around.
The new apartments, designed as holiday homes rather than permanent residences, are positioned to appeal to people seeking a taste of Galgorm's opulent lifestyle. Owners of these apartments, whose primary residences are elsewhere, will be able to enjoy all of the benefits of Galgorm Resort membership, including excellent dining experiences and soothing spa treatments.
The four-story development features a central public entrance space and a variety of unit options to suit different preferences. Prospective purchasers looking for both comfort and elegance will find plenty of alternatives, ranging from two-bedroom apartments spanning 82 to 95 square metres to three-bedroom homes covering 126 square metres.
Not content with just functioning, the proposed development also includes 215 square metres of public areas and a 280 square metre rooftop garden, allowing residents to socialise and unwind amidst the natural beauty of the resort's planted grounds.
The property will be accessible via current Galgorm Resort access points, with plenty of parking for residents and guests. Furthermore, with more parking accessible elsewhere on the resort, congestion worries will likely be alleviated, assuring a smooth experience for everyone.
Importantly, ownership of these apartments will come with specific legal obligations, such as service costs associated with membership in Galgorm Resort Spa and Golf and management and maintenance of the buildings and grounds. However, with Galgorm Resort housekeeping services offered to apartment owners, the stress of upkeep will be relieved, allowing tenants to focus on enjoying the resort's numerous amenities.
As the plans await council approval, excitement grows for what promises to be a welcome addition to the historic Galgorm Resort.
