Mixed-Use Development Application Lodged for Portrush

A planning application has been submitted to Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council for a proposed mixed-use development in Portrush. The application, lodged by SM Devine Homes NI Ltd, outlines plans for a combination of retail and residential spaces on land adjacent to and north of No. 1 Mark Street.

If approved, the development would include two retail units on the ground floor and two apartments on the first floor. In addition to the mixed-use buildings, the proposal includes designated parking, bin and bike storage facilities, and amenity space for residents.

The plans also detail access arrangements and ancillary site works necessary for the development. The proposal forms part of an ongoing pattern of growth and regeneration in Portrush, a popular seaside town known for its tourism and local attractions.

The Council will now review the application, with a decision expected to be made in the coming months.
