Progression on Portrush Banking Hub as Signage Plans Submitted
Jul 24, 2024Progress is being made on a new banking hub in Portrush, with building work currently underway at 15 Eglinton Street.
The latest development sees plans for signage submitted to Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council.
The proposal includes erecting six advertisements featuring an illuminated heritage brand fascia, a heritage projecting sign, a suspended illuminated directory of services, a bank availability poster, an illuminated marketing poster, an opening hours sign, and a CCTV sign.
Banking hubs offer a shared space that functions similarly to traditional bank branches but are accessible to everyone. Open from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, each hub has a counter operated by the Post Office, providing cash services to customers regardless of their bank.
Available services include:
- Paying in cash and cheques
- Withdrawing cash
- Checking account balances
- Paying utility bills
- Topping up gas and electricity
- Accessing change-giving services, particularly useful for small businesses
Additionally, the hub will feature community bankers from various banks who are available on specific days. A private space will be provided for face-to-face consultations on more complex banking needs, such as payments and transfers, account management, and online banking guidance.
The submission of these signage plans represents a significant step forward in the establishment of the Portrush banking hub, promising enhanced banking convenience and accessibility for the local community.
