Proposal for Portstewart Golf Course Modifications Submitted to Council

A Proposal of Application Notice has been officially submitted to Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council detailing significant modifications planned for Portstewart Golf Course.

The proposal aims to upgrade the Riverside and Strand Courses, with additional improvements to the practice areas and facilities.

The proposed modifications include a new chipping and practice green, realignment of the practice area, new covered bays, an extension to the greenkeeper shed, and a water storage reservoir. The plan also includes associated course works that will enhance the overall golfing experience at Portstewart.

The proposal also covers retrospective modifications to holes 13, 14, and 15 on the Strand Course. 

Portstewart Golf Course, known for its wide bays, sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs, and offshore rocks, is a beloved location for both local and international golfers. These proposed modifications are expected to make the course even more appealing, ensuring it continues to be a leading golf destination on the Causeway Coast.
