Proposed Social Housing Development For Limavady

A planning application has been recently submitted to Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council for a significant new housing project. The application details a proposal for a three-storey social housing apartment scheme which comprises a total of 17 apartment units on 6-8 Main Street, Limavady. 

According to the Design Access Statement associated with the application, the proposed development is solely for residential social housing. The new building is proposed to be three storeys high, in keeping with the residential density of the surrounding locale.

Housing Mix:

The proposed housing mix includes:

  • 16 units designed for two persons, each featuring one bedroom, and covering an area band of 50-55 sq.m.
  • One unit specifically designed to accommodate wheelchair access, also for two persons with one bedroom, spanning an area band of 60-65 sq.m.

The application will go before the Coucil within the next few months.
