There are three airports in Northern Ireland: Belfast City Airport, Belfast International Airport, and City of Derry Airport, each approximately 60-75 minutes’ drive from Ballycastle.

Designated car parking facilities will be within walking distance of the event. A park-and-ride facility will operate between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., departing from Glenshesk Road every 20-30 minutes.
Are there any parking restrictions?
Parking restrictions will be in place on Friday, July 19th, and Saturday, July 20th, from 07:00 to 20:30 on North Street, Strandview Road, Rathlin Road, Atlantic Avenue, Quay Road, Mary Street, the Market Street & Moyle Road junction, and the Ramoan Road & Whitepark Road junction.
Parking is not permitted in the Marina Car Park and Harbour Car Park (opposite the Visitor Information Centre) from 14:00 on Thursday, July 18th, until 00:00 on Sunday, July 21st.
Will there be road closures?
North Street, Bayview Road, Strandview Road (lower section) and Carrickmore Road will be closed on Friday, 19th and Saturday, 20th July, from 07:00-21:00. Local access for residents will be allowed during these times. Still, complete closures might occur if event organisers and local authorities deem it necessary.
Vehicle access will be accommodated for ferry passengers, but additional time should be available due to increased traffic. Ferry passengers should make themselves known at any security checkpoints.
Will Ballycastle Harbour be affected?
Ballycastle Harbour will close on Thursday, 18th July, 0930-1230, Friday, 19th July 1530-1930, and Saturday, 20th July 1530-1930. During the event, the Spirit of Rathlin & Kintra II ferries will continue to sail except for the two return sailings listed below.
Will the Rathlin Island Ferry be operating as normal?
Two ferry sailings will be cancelled on 20th July:
- **Rathlin Island to Ballycastle Harbour:** 17:00 Spirit of Rathlin, 18:00 Kintra II
- **Ballycastle Harbour to Rathlin Island:** 18:00 Spirit of Rathlin, 18:30 Kintra II
The service will operate anormallyoutside these times. For ferry enquiries, don't hesitate to contact Rathlin Ferry.
Where can I park in Ballycastle if I need to use the ferry to Rathlin Island during the event?
Parking is available in the usual ferry terminal car park in Ballycastle Harbour. The Harbour Carpark (adjacent to Morton's Fishmongers) will be closed from 1400 on Thursday, 18th July, until Saturday midnight; the ferry terminal car park is expected to be busy.

Traffic in Ballycastle is always busy during the summer months, and this event will increase traffic volumes. Attendees are asked to be patient and follow the advice of event staff and the PSNI. Red Bull works closely with the Local Authority and the PSNI to ensure the best possible outcomes.
A footbridge has been installed across the Margy River, linking the town and Ballycastle Beach. Please use this footbridge to access the spectator area on Ballycastle Beach and avoid wading across the river.
Please comply with event security instructions at all times. They are present to ensure the safety of spectators. Do not attempt to climb over crowd safety barriers or bring any prohibited items into the event area.
What items, such as drones, large bags, and professional camera equipment are prohibited?
Prohibited items include alcohol, laser pointers, air horns, glass bottles, and fireworks. This list is not exhaustive.
Where are the first aid facilities, and what are the emergency contact details?
St. John’s Ambulance will be present at the event. Should you need medical assistance, please alert the nearest event marshal.
Wristbands for Children
Blank paper wristbands will be provided for parents to write their contact details on, which children can wear during the event. If your child gets separated, they should approach a marshal, who will then contact you. Wristbands can be collected from the Accreditation Office, located under the arch (to the right) of The Marine Hotel entrance.

Please use the bins provided along the seafront and beach. If bins are full, take your rubbish with you and dispose of it responsibly at your next convenience.
