Santa’s Magical Express May Soon Bring Christmas Magic To Portrush For The Very First time!

Pending council approval, Codonas Funfairs has announced plans for a festive experience departing from Kiddieland Amusements in Portrush. Families can hop aboard a land train adorned with holiday lights and explore the seaside, sparkling streets, and scenic promenade.

Tickets are already on sale, with general admission priced at £12 for adults and children. Families can also take advantage of a £45 rate for a group of four, while babies under one-year travel free (though they won’t receive a gift). After the journey, young riders will have a chance to meet Santa in his grotto and receive a keepsake gift to commemorate the occasion.

Running on selected dates from 30th November to Christmas Eve, the event is scheduled to depart every half hour from 10 am to 5 pm. Though the train is not wheelchair accessible, prams and buggies can be securely left at Kiddieland before boarding.

Updates will be shared on the newly launched “Santa’s Magical Express, Portrush” Facebook page, while tickets are now available through Eventbrite for those eager to secure their place.

Notably, the council’s Land and Property Committee will review this event in a closed session next week, meaning the magical journey could hinge on further permissions.

If approved, Santa’s Magical Express is set to be a delightful addition to Portrush’s festive line-up, offering families and visitors a new way to celebrate the season on the coast.
