Shimmy, Sweat and Swim with Steph

Are you a fan of outdoor exercise classes? Fitness with Steph has hosted Zumba and Hula Hoop sessions throughout the summer on Portstewart Strand with great turnout. These have been taken up a few degrees for the winter months with her new package of Zumba, Sauna, and Sea in partnership with Sauna & Sea Portstewart. 

 With a Zumba class under the canopy of Harrys’ Shack, there is no need to worry about the unpredictable weather. You will keep dry while you build up a sweat in Zumba, before taking yourself to the sea to cool down, and then into the Sauna to relax.

The combination of hot and cold with the sauna and sea can help your muscles relax and promote healing after a fitness class, and the experience of sitting in the warmth of a sauna with a sea view is something to behold. 

A typical session begins with Zumba, followed by changing into your swimming gear and taking a dip in the rocky waves of the sea. It's not only a refreshing way to start your morning, but it helps by giving immediate relief to any aches you may have accumulated after an intensive Zumba class.

Then follow that up with 15-20 minutes at a time in the sauna. The Sauna targets muscles by expanding the blood vessels which in turn helps the muscles to relax. You will have enough time to go to and from the sea and sauna multiple times to take advantage of the benefits of this powerful combination.
