Supercars : A High-Octane Charity Event at North West 200 Pits

On Saturday, July 27th, 2024, the North West 200 Pits in Portstewart will roar to life with the sound of high-performance engines and the gleam of polished supercars.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., car enthusiasts and curious spectators will gather for the largest supercar event in Northern Ireland, a significant fundraiser for Air Ambulance NI.

The brainchild of Ronan Cunningham, Supercar Sunday was conceived from a deeply personal story. "The Air Ambulance saved the life of the son of a close family friend," Cunningham explained. "I wanted to give back to this incredible service, and I thought, what better way than to bring together car lovers to support such a vital cause?"

And bring them together he has. Now in its fifth year, the event has grown exponentially, drawing attendees from across the country. It features an impressive array of automotive masterpieces, including Lamborghini, Ferrari, and McLaren models. The static car show offers a rare opportunity for the public to get close to these high-end vehicles, appreciating their beauty and engineering prowess.

All proceeds from 'Supercar Sunday' go directly to Air Ambulance NI, an essential service that provides rapid-response medical care across Northern Ireland. The funds raised help ensure that this lifesaving service can continue to operate and be there for those in critical need.
