Throttle Up for the 2025 Beach Races at East Strand!

Get ready for an adrenaline-fuelled weekend this May as Causeway Coast and Glens Council invites locals and visitors to experience the roar of engines and the thrill of speed at the brand-new 2025 Beach Races at Portrush East Strand!

With the North West 200 and the Joey 25 celebration just around the corner, Knock Motorcycle Club is bringing something fresh to the scene on Friday, 9th May, from 11.45 am to 6.30 pm. It’s all about fast bikes, fierce competition, and that unmistakable buzz of race day!

Brace yourself for non-stop action on the sand, featuring epic beach race categories including youth solos, quads, and a dedicated girls' section. Here’s the trophy presentation schedule:

• 11.45 am – 2.30 pm: Youth solos, quads, and girls

• 2:30 pm – 3:00 pm: Youth Presentation

• 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm: Adult solos, quads, and ladies

• 6:00 pm – 6.30 pm: Adult Presentation

But that’s not all – keep your eyes peeled for jaw-dropping stunts and skills from the Trialstars Motorcycle Trials Display Team in the East Strand car park. These guys know how to put on a show!

And if meeting your racing heroes gets your heart racing, head to The Diamond in Coleraine from 1 pm to 2.30 pm for the Meet the Riders session. It’s your chance to chat with the North West 200 stars and soak up the race day atmosphere.

As the sun sets, keep the energy going at The Crescent, Portstewart, with a live outdoor concert from 8 pm to 10 pm featuring the brilliant Cellar Door, and a spectacular fireworks finale at 10 pm.

Parking won’t be an issue, with spaces available at town centre car parks and The Bowl, plus limited pre-bookable disabled parking at East Strand Car Park.
